After making the Put a Bird on It quilt, I just had to make another. This one has purple hair and darker flower. I like the words across her face.
I am smitten with these portrait quilts, they are like yearbook pictures for my imagination. I have several pieces of batting cut ready to make more.
Yellow Bird of Happy (11†x 16â€)
This quilt is part of a silent auction to benefit my local quilt guild. If you’re near Anchorage, Alaska this weekend (September 12th & 13th), stop in at that Great Alaska Quilt Show downtown. You can bid on this quilt and ~60 others. There’s also a raffle quilt and a special quilt exhibit to commemorate Anchorage’s centennial.
