Sometime in 2007 I created this fused red-head girl while crafting with my mom. I never turned the top into a quilt and it got shuffled from place to place and lost in our move to Anchorage.
While searching for another lost project (still not found) I stumbled upon the top and set about making into a quilt.
I’m not sure what I was thinking with the purple lips, off center nose and blue eyebrows but her red hair is awesome.

The construction of this girl and Portrait of a Dreamer is a fun technique I learned in a workshop with Kate Gorman. I may challenge myself create another, but this time I will not wait 5 years to finish it.
