Zelda Birthday Quilt

Zelda quilt (40” x 54”)

My nephew, Alex, had one request for his upcoming birthday – a Legend of Zelda blanket; however, they don’t make Legend of Zelda fabric and Spoonflower didn’t have anything matching his favorite Zelda game, Skyward Sword.

I scoured the web for ideas, picked my brother’s brain for idea and then stumbled upon the perfect image of Link by Lady of Link on Deviant Art. She kindly gave me permission to use her image for Alex’s quilt.

I set up my computer to print the image across multiple sheets on fabric and started assembling the quilt. I added the Skyward Sword logo and managed to quilt it last weekend despite all the cursing at my now broken sewing machine. I’m happy with the quilt and it’s done with plenty of time to mail it to Alex. I hope he likes it!

How do you do this please, I’d love to do this with a photo of all the grandkids. So can you explain how to do this.

    Have an awe*inspiring weekend,
    Sheila
