Table Runners

Remember the WIP from late October? The gifts have been received with high praise. While in Seward this summer, we stopped at the quilt shop. My husband saw the templates and the patterns for the bear and moose table runners. He thought his mom and grandma would like them. I wasn’t sure, but he was so excited; I relented.

He picked out fabrics and I figured out an easy way to combine the two table runner patterns together. One end of the runner has the bear, the other has the moose. In the middle is patchwork of blue batiks with Alaskan animals. One runner has a solid dot batik behind the moose and bear, the other has patchwork.

On the back is Alaska facts fabric which Mom and Grandma enjoy!

There was extra fabric, so we made his great aunt a set of bear placemats!

I might collaborate with my husband on a project again – it was fun to implement his vision.
