Ghastly Dinner Party (8” x 11”)

After making the Ghastly hoops, I had a snippet of fabric leftover. I thought it would be a great piece to practice doodle stitching.

The result is a small wall quilt that needs a good home.

If you’d like to give this quilt a home, leave a comment letting me know what you’re planning to do for Halloween.

On Saturday, October 22 I’ll select one lucky reader to receive the quilt.

  1. Carrie how totally sweet of you. I am making the grandkids some fun outfits and we will be going to the nature center. The nature center here is have a ghostly trail walk where they will have lots of fun things out in the woods. Lots of ghosts in the trees, a cemetary, and many more things. Then after the hike there will be bobbing for apples, along with some homemade applecider that the kids will get to help make. We will also be making homemade popcorm balls and some frun craft areas set up. It should be great fun for all. I’m not sure yet what I will wear but sorta leaning towards a witch’s costume.
Happy Halloween and we’d love to hear your plans as well.

  2. I live in a small resort town in the mountains in Canada and I won’t be getting dressed up or anything, but since there are very few children in town, and very few places for them to trick or treat my husband and I will be carving pumpkins and giving out generous goody bags.

  3. What a great little giveaway!I love that fabric, especially the owl in the woman’s hair! Now that my daughter is in college and I don’t have to sew last minute Halloween costumes, I am celebrating by going to the Day of The Dead celebration here. It’s VERY cool, and each family involved makes an altar to respectfully remember their dead, then dresses up as well. Each altar is different and brings out very creative people.
    Happy Halloween!!!

Would love to win this! On Halloween, after taking pictures of our four year old grandson,Superman this year, we will sit in our cul de sac with the neighbors, a fire pit, and some adult beverages, and enjoy seeing all the excited little ones. Hope for clear, cool weather!

  5. I work on Halloween, but I’ll be home early enough to hand out candy. I haven’t dressed up in years and years, but I bought a Frankenstein toque that extends down over the eyes, so I can half-dress up for handing out candy. (There are also green gloves to go with the hat, but I’m too cheap to buy them. I think I’ll get some green 99cent gloves to go with it instead.)

  6. WOW! WOW! WOW!! your pieces keep getting better and better!!! this piece is amazing! I love halloween and would love to win this beauty! Saturday i am having a big pumpkin carving party at my house, for the adults to have some fun. Halloween is quiet at my house since i have no kids and we live down a long dirt road. so with the carving part we are celebrating halloween early 🙂
