Harding Icefield and glacier
We celebrated our wedding anniversary with an overnight in Seward, AK and 9 hour wildlife/fjord/glacier tour. The weather was ideal, especially after almost 2 weeks of rain. We traveled 120 miles during the tour through the Kenai Fjords National Park.
Orca Whales
Orca Whales
We saw orca whiles, humpback whales and fin whales. Fin whales are the 2nd largest mammals on earth, growing up to 80ft long and clearly explain why long ago people thought there were sea monsters – fin whales look like sea monsters – especially when several are together.
Stellar Sea Lion and Gull
We saw lots of sea birds, stellar sea lions, sea otters, doll porpoise, glaciers and glimpsed the massive Harding Icefield.

If you’re in the area, make time for a tour. It’s amazing and would have been wonderful even if the weather wasn’t perfect.
Happy Anniversary! Your pics make me want to walk away from my desk and get directly on a plane to Alaska! I have always wanted to go, just haven’t made it yet. Looks like you had a lovely time of it!
