I decided to participate in the Quiltcon Michael Miller Spring Cotton Couture challenge. We could only use solids for the top and Michael Miller prints could be used on the back and binding.
After a month of staring at the spring solids, I finally decided to pair them with gray and white. I cut 1.5 inch strips of colors and white and 1 inch strips of the gray. I started playing and a few hours later had a quilt top.
I found two different prints for the back and binding that seemed to go with the spring theme. I quilts straight lines radiating from two different point on the quilt – fracturing the gray of winter to make spring.
