Fox Field Quilt

In March, I saw emails from Craftsy about a Tula Pink Fox Field fabric mystery quilt. I order the mystery quilt kit and a few charm packs. When I the pattern was released in mid April and I saw the diamonds, I was initially paralyzed; my prior piecing attempts with diamond had not gone well.

I finally took the leap and piecing it was a learning experience. There were a few missteps along the way, but I was thrilled to finish the top. It was almost straight and most of the diamonds had points!

I used the charm packs along with Kona cotton in Snow to piece the back. I quilted it with diagonal lines and occasional lines of loops.

When I started to photograph the quilt, I realized one of my souvenirs from Amsterdam was blocking the shot. I found this set of paper cats in a toy store on the same day we visited the KattenKabinet. They were too cute to resist. They took moments to assemble when I got home and thankfully they can tucked up on the light fixture they are hanging from when I need to take photos.
