The Anchorage Log Cabin Quilters annual quilt show is this coming weekend. I decided to make new girl quilts for the show in a big size.
I used a blue wallpaper like fabric for the wall quilted in vertical lines and a brown fabric quilted with horizontal line for the floor. I used text fabric with big writer for the girl, brown hair, black shoes and lots of yellow for her dress. The are 5 hand dyed ruffled tiers, a tape measure belt and vintage lace butterfly in her hair The bottom of a the quilt needed a bit more so I added a gray cat with a pink button nose.
She was ready to learn new things (19†x 50â€)
This is really lovely – I love her shoes and the slight flush on her cheeks and the sweet little cat.
I love the whole thing, especially the horizon with the scuffed floor.
