She Could Dance All Night (8†x 10â€) While sorting through the cream, green and black scraps on my table, I found a face and hair I had cut out next to the selvedge of the back of my midnight & cream quilt. I immediately thought about a flamenco style dress. I cut a dress […]

Her Head was Filled with Numbers
Her Head was Filled with Number (10†x 14â€) I love numbers and I love words. I majored in mathematics and I make a living writing and editing. This quilt combines them all and satisfies the cream, green and black for the paint chip challenge. Plus I get to use more of the sweet faces […]
More Paint Chip Challenge Quilts
Love (7†x 10â€) Another cream, green and black quilt for the paint chip challenge. That cute couple – my grandparents. It’s one my favorite photos – they looks so happy.
I’m Giddy – Quilts Published!
I was excited giddy to see the summer issue of Sew Somerset in the bookstore today! I have two articles inside: Stampington & Company did a fabulous job with the photos and layout. I’m honored to be included – the issue is fantastic.

Numbers, Letters & Circles (16†x 22â€) The evening group of the Anchorage Log Cabin Quilters posed a paint chip challenge. We were to find 3 paint chips with colors that started with our initials and then make a quilt no more than 2 feet square. The colors I selected are Council oaks (green), Arabian […]
Happy Birthday!
I turned 36 yesterday. I celebrated by making myself a quilt. I followed the recipe from the Moda Bakeshop for Random Reflections. I used 36 prints from a Basic Grey Blush jelly roll and completed the whole quilt in 3 days.
She Creates Joy – Birdcage Maker
Fabric, thread, wire and a few extras… I’m experimenting with using some of the techniques from Christy Tomlinson’s She Art Workshop to create art from mostly fabric (in place of paint and paper), thread (in place of rub ons, stencils and a pen) and fusible webbing (as the glue). There’s a a lot of detail […]
