A week ago, while walking between two buildings at work, I fell. I tripped on a rock, landing in the fine gravel on the side of the road, twisting one ankle and twisting the opposite knee. A trip to the ER and a weeks worth of pain killers and anti-inflammatories has kept me from getting […]

Week 17 Creations
A paper bowl made with pulp that I dyed bright pink along with my finger. Luckily the dye is slowly wearing off my fingers. The bowl says ‘It only took a moment to discover your love” I made lots more paper in several different colors, and started experimenting with adding strips of text into the […]
Month of Softies – Recycled Monsters
Meet G.G. Wrong – Geek Gone Wrong. Made form old computer parts, old cell phone parts, old tie, and an old shirt. His heart that he wears outside his shirt is the inside of DVD player!
Week 16 Creations
I spend hours absorbed in making sheet after sheet of paper. My arms are sore from all the sponging and pressing. I may have to turn the paper making into a weekly thing, I can’t remember being that absorbed into a project, totally oblivious to time. I also spent some time making ATCs.
Week 15 Creations
I must admit actual crafty project with glue, scissors, thread or anything else found in a craft store wasn’t actually finished. The combination of my birthday, gorgeous weather and a bad week at work led to me just playing with my camera. Here are a few of my favorite highlights from last week. Click the […]
Week 14 Creations
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 1. 3 small quilts to play with fabric and thread 2. Paper that I made using Paper Perfect. It takes glitters and confetti better than anything I’ve tried making, but it isn’t quite as fun as making all my own with the mold and pulp. 3. Scarf crocheted […]
Non-Euclidean Geometries
I miss it. I miss Non-Euclidean geometries. I miss the axioms, the theorem and the proofs. For the first time in a long time, I miss being a math girl. It’s great to imagine a world in which straight lines appear as curves, where the Pythagorean theorem is false and everything I learned in highschool […]
Week 13 Creations
This past week has been filled with internal reflection, stress relief (lots of napping) and hours of reading. The new issue of Cloth Paper Scissors is out with lots of great articles. I like the one about painted textures having recently received lots of bits of rick rack and trims in the mail. And The […]
Month of Softies – Shoes!!!
I thought a long time about making a doll for the month of softies but somehow a doll wasn’t a self-portrait of me. As a child I had a fascination with shiny shoes – paten leather. I wanted to wear them all the time. I had a pair with taps on them for dance class […]
Week 12 Creations
A busy week full of frustrations and nothing seeming to go right. But the weekend proved to be extremely productive and lots of fun. Now to turn my Monday evenings into the same thing somehow. Oh well, on with the pictures! Hand made paper, I tried adding silk fibers – made for fun background paper! […]
