Art Quilts

It’s August and in Alaska that means wild blueberries! A simple background with ‘berries’ stitched into the background. A girl in a floral skirt and hat holds a small bucket of berries. I took photos of the back of my recent quilts. The recent sketching has me appreciating the simple line drawings on the back.

Color! I fussy cut my large handwriting text print to have ‘share joy’ on her face. The photo is in focus, the print on her shirt is just a bit psychedelic. I like it! She is thankful for color (14” x 20”)

Her short orange hair pops agains the dark blue background. A mixture of 3 fabrics make her shirt, sweater and skirt. The dimensional skirt was carefully folded and pressed to make that pattern. She sparks creativity in all who meet her (14” x 20”)
