Winter is great for tights – so many color options. She enjoys walking in the snow (6” x 10”)

A big sweater coat with boots and leg warmers She loves to hear the snow crunch (5.5” x 12”)

They’re bundled up against the snow. Wouldn’t it be great to have a polka dot coat? Let it Snow (8.5” x 11”)

A guy … just a guy on a quilt. It’s a first for me and though there’s less to dress them in, they are still fun. It’s the best time of the year (5.5” x 12”)

The winter quilts are done! I was listening to holiday songs as I finished these so each one has a line for a holiday song as the sentiment. This girl is cozy and ready for a jaunt on a sled or a sleigh. Her days are merry and bright (6” x 10”)

I’m still working on winter quilts but I’m also working some commission pieces. These are basted and ready for background quilting. It’s going to be a fun and busy week!

Half of the people for my winter quilts are assembled and ready to go on the quilt backgrounds. These people all are in white or cream hats and mittens that just aren’t showing up in photos and the boys are missing their shoes. Seems I either missed tracing them or tossed them out accidentally. Some of my winter sketches have been traced onto the release paper of fusible webbing and ironed to various scraps. The backgrounds have cool blue skies, festive trees and white on white snow stitched with wavy lines. Now for the cutting of small clothes and shoes and later the fusing of people onto the backgrounds.

My First Dance quilt originally didn’t have a sentiment on it. But I was thinking it needed something else so I add the words ‘Even if no one asked her to dance, she was happy to be there’
