I get a lot of comments on quilts with the girl doing a handstand. Some people think the quilt is upside down; others wonder how her dress stays up. I see that she just flipped into a handstand and her dress hasn’t had time to fall down yet – nor has all of her hair.
I’m experimenting with how to make prints from my art quilts. Last winter, I received several comments about the banners I had in my my booth, so I shrunk my banner and had several more printed on eco canvas (polyester) from Spoonflower. Today I played in my studio. Ripping, cutting, ironing, measuring fabric so I can create quilt sandwich backgrounds ready for thread drawings or appliqué fun. The kittens have been with us a year – they are still kittens to us, but they are sort of huge now. They like the window in my studio – it’s close to the ducks that sometimes visit the backyard. Fluffy doesn’t mind sharing a lap with the kittens. Eventually though the kittens will squirm
