This quilt was commissioned by my husband’s aunt. She’s so cute. I liked the pattern so much, I made another quilt.
Part 2 of my summer vacation continued with a train trip to Denali National Park. This was the view as we passed over Hurricane Gulch. This art quilt was a homework assignment – the snail in the story is quite unhappy and grumpy. I wanted to ensure he looked unhappy.
I needed a photo of myself for an upcoming project. These aren’t right for the project, but I love how they show something about me.
With a bit of patience and Photoshop, I turned my stitched doodle practice into art. It was an assignment for Lilla Roger’s Make Art That Sells course. The class is packed full of information on licensing and how different product markets work – definitely worth the investments in cost and time.
front back Oh these are not so good – the tension is way off on the top and middle pieces – this is when it was time for a new needle, rethreading and a break. Walking away when my machine isn’t behaving is the best way to not have sewing stress.
