I am participating in Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day by giving away three small art quilt to three lucky winners.

wpid-IMG_7197-2014-12-8-07-48.jpg
This first quilt is ‘Disco Girl at Heart’ that measures 8” x 10”. I made a lot of art quilt similar to this, a fun background and a girl (or occasionally a boy) doing something fun.

The second quilt is ‘Love’ that measures 7” x 9”.

The third quilt is ‘Bloom’ that measures 7” x 9”. Love and Bloom were art that resulted from a what if…what if I sewed strips of sheet music to a canvas quilt background. I add wire and fabric and lots of machine and hand stitching.

  7. Disco girl is the one I’d choose. I love it. You are so talented.

Iced sugar cookies made with my great grandmothers recipe. I really can not get enough of them.

  8. I’d love anything you make but especially the Disco girl. Your girl quilts are amazing!! As for holiday treats, I absolutely love thumbprint cookies made with lots of nuts and a little dollop of tasty jam in the middle.

  9. You are so talented! Love all three but I think the Disco Girl is thinking of me, hehe.

My favorite of your art quilts is “Disco Girl at Heart”. Love the background you used for it. My favorite Christmas desert is fruit cake followed closely by anything chocolate!

  11. I think my favorite Christmas cookie is a chocolate kringle. I like the disco girl quilt best. Thanks for the chance to win!

  12. So hard to choose just one of your art quilts they are beautiful. The girl is my favorite but I have a friend who would flip for one with sheet music! I love eating chocolate covered pretzels at Christmas time.

  13. What a touch choice! I like Bloom. My favorite holiday cookie is the one with the peanut butter center and chocolate outer coating – we call them Buckeyes. Happy holidays of light!

  14. all three of these little art quilts are adorable and would be perfect in my daughters room! I have no preference. except I want all of them! greedy?? yes 🙂
My favourite Christmas dessert is Christmas pudding.. my mom made it every Christmas when we were children and I love it! I also love fruitcake. yes. I know–what 35 year old loves fruitcake, but I do! Merry Christmas!

  15. My sister makes “Derby Pie” every year which is kind of like a giant cookie pie, but even better than you can imagine!
I like the ‘Disco Girl at Heart’ best, but they’re all pretty!

  16. I love a cookie my Mom has made for years – a peppermint meringue with crushed candy canes, chocolate chips and nuts. I love “Bloom”, but any quilt would be lovely. Many thanks for sharing with us!

  17. These are fabulous! So generous. Would love to win disco girl or bloom–very hard to choose.:) My favorite dessert this time of year is probably pumpkin roll.

  18. I love sugar cookies with frosting but I also like butter cookies with pecans and I love peanut butter cookies with chocolate kisses …….my favorite is the bloom especially this time of year. I love all of them.

  19. My favorite cookies are good old frosted sugar cookies. My favorite of your quilts is the disco girl at heart. I love it!

  20. I love your little quilts! I’m glad you explained how you did that, I was wondering! I have 2 favorite holiday desserts. Cookie is my mom’s sugar cookies- almond flavor, not vanilla. Second is a pineapple cheesecake. Not New York style, this is light and fluffy. I love Bloom but would be thrilled with any of the three!

  21. Our favorite dessert would be peanut butter chocolate oatmeal cookies.

My favorite would be disco girl!

  22. I love caramels! And the girl quilt is amazing. I love it so much! For the others, are you using paper and wire as well? So neat!!

  23. Love and bloom are really fun and different, I like the good ol’ sugar cookie, if I can get them in the oven to bake, I normally end up just eating the raw dough.

  24. My kids and I bake cookies for all of our friends. We package them in recyclable boxes that we recycled ourselves (think old tea boxes, etc.). We make crafty gift labels with glue, googly eyes, etc. And then we go out on a cold, dark night and sneak them into our friends mailboxes, followed by a text to check their mailboxes for a surprise! Of course, this is year four, so the surprise element is gone now, I suppose! Still super fun, though!
And, of course, we eat way too many cookies while we make them!

  25. I love criss cross peanut butter cookies, and I love real fruitcake that sat for a year with fresh rum poured on now and then 🙂 I’d love any of your creations, but maybe the disco girl most of all!
