This art quilt is almost done. I need to add some buttons to the little strings near the top, and attach a few bits and baubles to her skirt. But she will stay this way for a bit – she’s a sample for a presentation I’m doing tomorrow night.
I am teaching the group how to make creative girl art quilts (like this one) at my guild meeting. I’ve got a bucket full of ruffled fabric strips, scraps in a rainbow of colors, patterns for dresses and faces printed on fabric. I’m looking forward seeing what the members create and being inspired by their enthusiasm and creativity.
