In 2014, I created the above piece – a girl in a flat gray dress. I never felt the piece was complete.
After too many months of storing the girl or setting her aside, I added a small scale print skirt with ribbon “beltâ€. 
Adding the dimensional skirt seems to lighten the mood of the piece.
