{"id":844,"date":"2012-03-13T19:38:38","date_gmt":"2012-03-14T03:38:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.believemagic.com\/journal\/?p=844"},"modified":"2012-03-13T20:20:47","modified_gmt":"2012-03-14T04:20:47","slug":"kitty-in-the-garden","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.believemagic.com\/journal\/?p=844","title":{"rendered":"Kitty in the Garden"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.believemagic.com\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/wpid-kittygarden1-2012-03-13-19-38.jpg\" alt=\"wpid-kittygarden1-2012-03-13-19-38.jpg\" width=\"504\" height=\"378\"\/><br \/>\nKitty in Garden (12\u00e2\u20ac\u009d x 8.5\u00e2\u20ac\u009d)<\/p>\n<p>The scraps from the Love My Bike quilt were shuffled around my studio for a few weeks.<br \/>\n&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;Blue and green flowers<br \/>\n&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;Gray and white strips<br \/>\n&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;Scraps of orange and pink that I cut, auditioned and rejected <\/p>\n<p>Last weekend they came together with scraps of blue from the Almost Ticker Taper quilt, a few stems from green scraps and the shape of a cat.<\/p>\n<p>Fuse it all together, make a quilt sandwich and have fun adding lots of free motion stitching.  Dig out scraps of pre-made bias binding and an art quilt honoring my gray cat is done.    <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.believemagic.com\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/wpid-kittygarden2-2012-03-13-19-38.jpg\" alt=\"wpid-kittygarden2-2012-03-13-19-38.jpg\" width=\"504\" height=\"447\"\/><\/p>\n<p>I used white as the backing fabric so I could see the results of my free motion stitching better.
