Here are a few of my favorites.  You can see more photos of each quilt on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/64044938@N00\/sets\/72157628692864183\/\">Flickr<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.believemagic.com\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/wpid-DSC02579-2012-01-2-18-45.jpg\" alt=\"wpid-DSC02579-2012-01-2-18-45.jpg\" width=\"504\" height=\"672\"\/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">These little quilts were gifts for ladies in my quilt groups.  <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.believemagic.com\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/wpid-DSC02693-2012-01-2-18-45.jpg\" alt=\"wpid-DSC02693-2012-01-2-18-45.jpg\" width=\"504\" height=\"378\"\/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Each is approximately 5.75\u00e2\u20ac\u009d x 8.75\u00e2\u20ac\u009d with a batik background, black or grey backing and a white ruffled dress.  <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.believemagic.com\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/wpid-DSC02654-2012-01-2-18-45.jpg\" alt=\"wpid-DSC02654-2012-01-2-18-45.jpg\" width=\"504\" height=\"378\"\/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Each background was done pillowcase style: place front and back fabrics right together with the batting on top and stitch around the edges leaving a 3 inch opening at the bottom of the quilt.  Turn right side out, press and stitch around the edges of the quilt 2 or 3 times. Not my typical method of construction but it worked well for these.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.believemagic.com\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/wpid-DSC02538-2012-01-2-18-45.jpg\" alt=\"wpid-DSC02538-2012-01-2-18-45.jpg\" width=\"504\" height=\"672\"\/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">I used a different fabric when I printed the faces &#8211; something I found buried in a box that was pre-fused.  It provided an interesting texture to the faces.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.believemagic.com\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/wpid-DSC02542-2012-01-2-18-45.jpg\" alt=\"wpid-DSC02542-2012-01-2-18-45.jpg\" width=\"504\" height=\"402\"\/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">I wrote the sayings for the quilts on fabric and drew a box around each word and stitched around the whole set instead of around each word like I usually do. I think I like this new way better.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.believemagic.com\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/wpid-DSC02716-2012-01-2-18-45.jpg\" alt=\"wpid-DSC02716-2012-01-2-18-45.jpg\" width=\"504\" height=\"378\"\/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">I added hand stitching to the ruffled skirt along with buttons, ribbon and a small metal accent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.believemagic.com\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/wpid-DSC02583-2012-01-2-18-45.jpg\" alt=\"wpid-DSC02583-2012-01-2-18-45.jpg\" width=\"504\" height=\"672\"\/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">I love the simplicity of these girlie quilts and how each one is as unique as the fabulous quilters to which they were gifted.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">To see all 14 quilts visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/64044938@N00\/sets\/72157628692864183\/\">Flickr<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I finally managed to process the 200+ photos I took of the small girl quilts I made before Christmas.
