I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been fairly good about posting inspiration and eye-candy almost everyday, but lately I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been busy having fun. In the midst of preparing to teach a class, I paused packing up supplies to spend a few hours with several members of the Alaska SAQA<\/a> group who met with visiting SAQA<\/a> board member and artist, Susan Else<\/a>. Her work is mostly three-dimensional – she treats fabric as a medium to create mesmerizing and sometimes motorized sculptures. Check it Susan\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s work and if you are really into art quilts, join SAQA. Their website is packed with information and inspiration. The class was a ton of fun and each person tried free-motion quilting!!!
