I miss <a href=\"http:\/\/cvu.strath.ac.uk\/courseware\/msc\/jgraves\/\">Non-Euclidean geometries<\/a>. I miss the axioms, the theorem and the proofs.  For the first time in a long time, I miss being a math girl.  <\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s great to imagine a world in which straight lines appear as curves, where the Pythagorean theorem is false and everything I learned in highschool geometry was wrong.  <\/p>\n<p>~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ <\/p>\n<p>I keep doodling ideas for making math art &#8211; like giant quilts of sin, cosine and tangent curves with curves being made from feather boas or something entirely non-linear.  Perhaps I could make a quilt about Non-Euclidean geometries, complete with the axioms and proofs on the quilt.   <\/p>\n<p>So many ideas so little time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I miss it.
