Last week I visited San Francisco for the first time. Several authors and artists I admire live in San Francisco and I’ve always wanted to see the city they talk about. My husband had a conference there so I tagged along.
Not knowing where everything I wanted to see was in relation to our hotel, we booked a tour of the city that took us past all the well known landmarks and into some of the neighborhoods. We saw the Golden Gate Bridge a few times.
And spent an hour wandering through Muir Woods marveling at the enormous trees.
I am so thankful to have the opportunity to travel. To experience the people, eat great food, catch up with friends from the conference and wander around downtown including the Ferry Building with a view of the Bay Bridge. There is so much more we could have done, but I like laid back, no rushing trips.
