Modern Baby Quilt (44” x 44”)

I belong to the Modern Quilt Guild and a local group here in Anchorage. We were recently invited to talk about our group with other quilters in a nearby city. Since we will also have a small display at an upcoming local quilt show, I decided to make another improvisational quilt. I used a few different neutrals, some left over text prints and scraps from my Love Letters Colors quilt top.

The back was randomly pieced with scraps and 1/2 yard pieces of coordinating prints.

I quilted it with some square spirals, straight lines and free motion words that say ‘happiness, love, joy, dreams, wonder, be yourself, laugh, play, never give up, always try’ I thought these would be wonderful phrase to include on a baby quilt.
