Before I pack my studio, I’m trying to catch up on bee blocks. It’s fun to work on discrete blocks that will be used by other quilter.
And occasionally, I glimpse one of the new kittens cuddling with Fluffy.
The tiny flowers on the hem of this dress add just a bit of interest and use those decorative stitches on my machine.
This floral background made me thinking gardens and spring which is quickly approaching.

as for the kittens…
Many years ago, Dexter came into our lives following the loss of our first cat, Pounce. My husband thought it was fitting that we continue this. However, we didn’t find just one cat, we found two kittens – litter mates. May I introduce you to Purr Monster and Munchkin. They have been keeping us smiling and entertaining our Fluffy too.
3 of 4 members of our household have not been feeling well. Dexter kitty stopped eating and we spent a few days force feeding him before he started eating kibble on his own.
Fluffy kitty has been keeping us company while my husband and I don’t feel well. She enjoyed the windy day we had because leaves blew past the window. And yes that is my backyard – there’s no snow here in Anchorage, Alaska!
I’ve been slowly cutting out pieces for a new mini quilt army.
I like to sort the pieces into piles for easy assembly.
Finally they are ready to go on their mini quilts.
I’m finally feeling better and getting back into my studio – auditioning fabrics and stitching.
From quilts in progress to secret projects, I’ve been keeping busy!
I gathered fabrics for a bee I will doing in 2015. It’s going to be a color filled quilt.
The cats have been keeping us entertained: Dexter hanging out in bags and boxes.
Fluffy playing with organza and chiffon.
I just fused the girl to this quilt background and I wonder, are the flowers too much? I’ll sleep on it and look at it with fresh eyes tomorrow.
